Empowering the Next Generation: DMA Foundation Launches Mental Health Club at Teepak Academy

By DMAF_SiteUser , 1 June 2026

In DMA Foundation, we believe that education is about more than just academic excellence, it is about nurturing the whole individual. True empowerment requires building environments where young minds feel safe, understood, and supported.

Driven by this mission, the DMA Foundation recently took a major step forward by officially inaugurating our newest Mental Health School Club at Teepak Academy.

This initiative marks a milestone in our ongoing efforts to destigmatize mental health challenges and equip students with the emotional resilience tools they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Why Mental Health? Why Now?

Adolescence is a period of profound cognitive, social, and emotional transition. While students face increasing academic pressures, they are also navigating complex personal growth, social dynamics, and societal expectations. Without the right support systems, these pressures can lead to anxiety, stress, and isolation.

Statistically, early intervention changes lives. By embedding a dedicated Mental Health Club directly into Teepak Academy, we are meeting students exactly where they are. We are shifting the narrative from crisis management to proactive care, ensuring that emotional support is an accessible, everyday reality rather than an afterthought.

Inside the Launch: A Safe Space is Born

The inauguration ceremony at Teepak Academy was filled with energy, vulnerability, and hope. The event brought together students, educators, and mental health professionals from the DMA Foundation team for an open dialogue about emotional well-being.

Key Highlights of the Launch:

  • Interactive Awareness Sessions: Our team led engaging discussions breaking down what mental health actually means, dispelling common myths, and using age-appropriate language to discuss emotional health.
  • Student-Led Leadership: The club is designed to be for students, by students. A core peer group was introduced to help lead weekly activities, fostering peer-to-peer empathy and creating a trusted bridge between the student body and professional counselors.
  • The "Safe Zone" Setup: We established a dedicated physical or cultural space within the school framework where students can express themselves without fear of judgment or stigma.

What the Club Will Do: Sustainable Impact

This launch isn’t just a one-day event; it is a sustainable, long-term program. Moving forward, the DMA Foundation will actively support the Teepak Academy Mental Health Club through a structured curriculum focusing on:

  1. Emotional Regulation & Coping Skills: Monthly workshops on stress management, mindfulness techniques, and dealing with academic pressure.
  2. Peer Support Networks: Training student leaders to recognize signs of distress in their peers and guide them toward help.
  3. Destigmatization Campaigns: School-wide creative initiatives—such as art, writing, and drama—centered around mental health awareness.
  4. Professional Access: Providing a clear, confidential pathway for students who require one-on-one professional counseling or guidance.

Voices from the Ground

"We want every student at Teepak Academy to know that it is completely okay not to be okay. This club is a promise that you do not have to carry your burdens alone. By teaching emotional resilience today, we are building healthier leaders for tomorrow."

The enthusiasm from the Teepak Academy faculty was equally profound. School administrators noted that integrating mental health into the school culture will directly improve academic focus, reduce absenteeism, and foster a far more compassionate school community.

Looking Ahead

The launch at Teepak Academy is a template for the future. The DMA Foundation is committed to scaling this initiative, bringing Mental Health Clubs to schools across the region to ensure that no child’s education is compromised by unsupported psychological distress.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the administration, teachers, and incredible students of Teepak Academy for opening their doors and hearts to this vital cause. Together, we are building a world where mental health is prioritized, protected, and celebrated.
